The delay on the part of the authorities in taking action against those who
so mercilessly beat up the Anjuna lad Lester D’Souza and his parents at the
Fatorda Stadium last Thursday is very anguishing.
It is a clear indication that Governance in Goa has done for a toss while
the rule of the jungle has become the order of the day in the current
headless state of lawlessness.
The onus is on our Chief Secretary and the DGP to ensure that swift action
is taken to severely punish those police officers and others who grievously
assaulted Lester and his parents in this clear case of a brutal police
atrocity. Justice delayed is Justice denied.
