On directions of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, the Police Head Constable
Santosh Palyekar (badge No 4205) was yesterday swiftly transferred back to
the Children’s Court.
After having continued untransferred since 2006 as the Personal Security
Officer of the Judge at Goa Children's Court in Panaji, Santosh Palyekar
was just last week transferred to the Porvorim Police Station.
While Santosh Palyekar's decade long merry picnic at the Children’s Court
resumes after a mere week’s break, it only confirms that it is political
power and influence that rules the roost in the functioning of the Goa
Police. A very sorry state of affairs. Amen
