"Antibiotic-resistant bacteria in Supermarket Shrimp"

Antibiotic-resistant bacteria is predicted to be a bigger killer than cancer,
soon.

Most of the frozen shrimp imported into Canada comes from India.

Indian shrimp contains the most of such bacteria in comparison with shrimp from
China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Sri Lanka or any other major shrimp exporters.

Canada has banned antibiotics in sea food but analyses only a very small sample
percentage of imports.

These are the scary facts in the video. Time to give up frozen shrimp
altogether.

Vancouver on the Pacific Ocean brings in fresh shrimp via fishing boats some of
which are sold in the small harbours. Price? Hold your breath - 18 to 20
dollars a pound!

Comment:
It appears that a cooking temperature of 163 deg F is sufficient to kill most
bacteria in fish per information available at :

https://www.sharecare.com/health/cooking-and-health/temperatures-cook-food-kill-bacteria
(For reference water boils at 212 deg F )
But it must be said that this bacterial scare makes you want to stick to a
vegetarian diet...
