Best, Carol Mascarenhas ++++++++++++++++++++++++ PRESS RELEASE GOAN FOOTBALL ICONS COME TOGETHER FOR 2nd EDITION OF VEDANTA LEGENDS MATCH - 36 of the best yesteryear Goan footballers, including Arjuna awardees Brahmanand Sankhwalkar and Bruno Coutinho to participate in the game on 14th September at Duler Stadium 13 September, Panaji: Vedanta Sesa Goa Iron Ore commemorates the Goan footballers of yesteryears by organizing the Vedanta Legends Match. The highly anticipated second edition of the Legends Match, with its fair share of rekindled rivalries and friendships, will be held on 14th September at Duler Stadium, Mapusa with a 6 PM kickoff. The game organized in collaboration with Goa Football Association and The Association for the Wellbeing of Elderly Sportspersons promises to be an exciting affair. 36 of the biggest Goan footballing legends are all set to feature in the game which will be played between Goa Legends 'Blue' and Goa Legends 'Orange'. The legends invited for the game include Goa's first Arjuna Awardee and legendary goalkeeper, Brahmanand Sankhwalkar, along with renowned names like Samir Naik, Climax Lawrence, Roberto Fernandes, Lector Mascarenhas, Clifford Miranda, Jerry Fernandes, among others. The current Technical Director of FC Goa and AFC A Pro License coach Derrick Pereira will be the captain of Goa Legends 'Blue', while Arjuna Awardee winner and former AIFF Player of the Year (1996) Bruno Coutinho will lead Goa Legends 'Orange'.
