UK Update: Important Notice 14:00 – Sunday 20 Oct 2019 Goan Association UK
Members

It is important that you attend the Annual General Meeting on Sunday 20 October
2019 as it is a facility provided for by Law. The xxth Annual General Meeting
is at the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank, HSBC Sports and Social Club, Lennard
Road, Beckenham, BR3 1QW at *no time given* I am told that this is on page two
of document sent to you i.e. 2pm.

Remember when the beer goes in the brains go out. In our ancestral Goa Alcohol
is Banned a day or two before elections it’s in our DNA that can blur decision
making processes. Satisfy yourself before voting and approving any resolution
or appointments without the knowledge of the whole membership as this will be
null and void. Take special care dealing with Goans with Water Melon Smiles aka
GWS embedded in the website of Goa UK expert at contacting bereaved families
with their sobbing letters and crocodile tears including fundraising for Coffin
Funding in the name of welfare, No Accounts, Who Cares, sadly I do. This is
your opportunity to ask any questions during the presentation of the accounts.
I have often written that Goans are not dimwits when it comes to money. You
could say my imagination is running wild, I think some of these are people who
have taken up volunteer posts have satellite dishes in their handbags and
wallets, with antennas tuned in to grab your money any which way it can.
Like the next dance, raffles, party hats, etc, what a cheerful way during the
season of goodwill to add to their additional streams of income.

It was good to note that the intellectual Property of the association (The
Logo) has been restored on the Notice of Meeting this was defaced during the
50th Anniversary celebrations. There must be some good people around that have
kept the company afloat. The company secretary is the most powerful person in
this outfit unlike those of village associations although they play a pivotal
role in the community.

UK Goans will recall The Goan Association UK by the time it reached its 40TH
Anniversary evolved to a respectable Limited company and Community organisation
registered in England and Wales its Directors became the servants of the
Company and the membership became its owners. Our community that became the
heartbeat of Goan society is today so broken that we now have many
organisations with different schools of thought no central objectives to enable
us to have one voice in the United Kingdom.

Over the last decade since the millennium the servants of the company appear to
have developed into wannabe MLAs with Cockroach mentality, blatantly violating
its constitution and rules as its owners the members (General Body) continue to
look the other way stating that they are not interested as they have better
things to do rather than striving to do things better. This resulted in the
servants trashing the organisation as its owners did nothing. The Culling of
members due to incompetence by certain post holders will continue to eliminate
the membership resulting in a situation where a handful of members could walk
away with the assets.

Unless you the owners and members attend the meeting take back charge and give
matters your serious consideration, we are heading for a faceless society
before the second decade of the millennium.
