During the pendency of imposition of the lockdown due to spread of Covid-19
it may be suggested that large and small companies and factories that are
involved in good manufacturing practices which entail observing very strict
hygienic measures and almost sterile environment such as:
- fast moving consumer good. ( FMCG)
- pharmaceuticals, food processing units
- milk supplies manufacturers of food supplement, bakeries and soft drink
manufacturers could be allowed to conduct their businesses after ensuring
that their employees undergo compulsory testing for the novel corona virus.
This measure will ensure that the essential items manufactured will
continue to provide essential commodities for the entire nation.
This will also become a nucleus for the restoration of other manufacturing
units into the production chain in a phase manner as and when the danger of
the spread of Covid-19 recedes in a country and until such time as
normalization return.
Also, many companies have their own colonies providing accommodation to its
employees and it would be easy to monitor the health of the staff.
This will be a big step forward in resumption of the manufacturing chain.
