Linken, Probably you were right, your grand-uncle Manuel Alphonso did provide music for 2 films but not Mogacho Aunddo or Bhuierantlo Munis it was Sukhachem Sopon and Cortubancho Sounsar. https://konkanicinema.com/movie/kortubancho-sonvsar/
The details of Mogacho Aunddo was fresh in my mind as I recently (Konkani Cinema Day celebrated on 24th April) posted on FB details about this film. Also I pvtly asked Idsidore Dantas, who has done research on Konkani cinema more details about this film as I was aware he was working on this film. He did provide me some details, but the completion details is with family of Al Jerry Braganza. On Manuel Alphonso Those days a lot of info was posted on Goanet on Konkani Music. I cam across this post on Manuel Alphonso https://www.mail-archive.com/goanet@lists.goanet.org/msg79850.html Since I am into collection of Konkani songs, I came to know that Manuel produced 4 audio albums, of which I have only 2, that is 1. Goa and 2. Saudades de Goa. I also came to know that Alfred Rose was a close friend of Manuel and and on his 50th Wedding Anniversary Alfred Rose Composed a song 'Ponos Voros Sarlim'. I am not sure if Alfred Rose sang it but its in Album 'Saudades de Goa'. Both these CD's have the best of Traditional Goan Mandos. I understand Manuel Alphonso had also published a book with lyrics of all the songs, not sure anyone has the copy. Here are some of the songs from Sukhachem Sopon 3 of the songs lyrics were by Alfred Rose https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yIxCffrS6Y jurament Neketrancher wrongly titled as Motiancho Surngar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=45cujBlSP9U Motiancho Surngar - a mando wrongly titled as Jurament Neketrancher Teach me Konkani, Noman Noman Tuka Goa, Tops n Pops in Konkani are some of the Konkani Vinyls for which Music is by Manuel Regards Edward Verdes On Sun, May 17, 2020 at 8:06 PM Linken Fernandes <linkenfernan...@gmail.com> wrote: > Look what Roland Francis has done, posting a Youtube link here to the song > Apton Dopton by Manuel Alphonso (my grand-uncle) and his Folklorists, and > managing to take us right to the birth of Konkani cinema through my > reference to Mogacho Aunddo, the first ever film in the language.
