Traditional Cuban music runs in the veins of Leslie Cartaya with Jazz and Funk
shaping her musical personality. Born in Cuba to a very close family that
enjoys warm afternoons improvising a melody, she joined the Paló band in 2003.
She is a Grammy winner in the Best New Artist category and the vocalist for
both these songs.

Paló is a Miami-based Cuban band nominated for a Grammy and Latin Grammy for
their album PALÓ. They perform their own type of music called Afro-Cuban funk.
Think funky, jazzy, salsa.
