Traditional Cuban music runs in the veins of Leslie Cartaya with Jazz and Funk shaping her musical personality. Born in Cuba to a very close family that enjoys warm afternoons improvising a melody, she joined the Paló band in 2003. She is a Grammy winner in the Best New Artist category and the vocalist for both these songs.
