Goa-related books tend to go out-of-print very soon. Since the market
is so scattered and diffused and globalised in a way, distributing the
same is a virtual nightmare. Ask Domnic/Cecil/Broadways about their
experiences with "Domnic's Goa", for instance. Hence, stocking the
books via alternatives like lulu.com or instabook.net probably makes
sense -- but this pushes up costs, because you're working in dollar
prices!

(What might be more realistic is a print-in-India,
distribute-via-surfacemail model, where payments are made in advance.)

It would make sense to place a number of copyright-expired books (and
those whose publishers are willing to put them out in a sharable
format for whatever reason, even if they're out of print and unlikely
to be reprinted again) in a copylefted, CreativeCommons.org or other
sharable format.

Project Gutenberg's [http://gutenberg.net] Distributed Proofreading
Project is an amazing model. Dr Teo de Souza, if I recall right, had
shown an interest in taking this up not long back. FN
