Is the pattern of Goa’s voting because: 1. People are influenced with money and other illegal gratification at election time. 2. Votes of the educated and aware are drowned by politician-cultivated illiterate vote banks. 3. There is no good choice of candidates. One set is as bad as the next. 4. Real Goan voters don’t vote. It’s the slum dwellers and other illegally registered voters that outweigh the balance. 5. It’s a vicious circle. You need heaps of money to win and only those in power have access to that kind of money. 6. Religious and caste considerations influence the vote.
