A really significant milestone in Canada’s immigration history.

From out of hand rejection, to fighting expensive individual cases in Canadian
courts against Govt rulings, to future complete non-discrimination against
persons with physical challenges, I am proud to have witnessed in one
generation, the evolution of human thinking as embodied in Canada’s treatment
of legally removing hate and discrimination against genders, against
disabilities, against race. All this without the system of Quotas to which many
countries had to resort.

Hidden and silent discrimination will always remain in the human psyche but
it’s a great move to make a start by having it legally swept away.
