Nobody is suggesting that the entirety of the inherited Uniform Civil Code of 
the Portuguese be continued without the necessary changes to the colonially 
inspired fault lines within it that can be seen from the viewpoint of freed 
Goans or from the desired progressive changes reflecting progress of the times.

Surely you are not suggesting throwing out the baby with the bath water or 
trivializing the stated and forceful opinion of Bobde CJ in this matter?
