Hi Bhandare
Words like "fascist" are used loosely by many but also rigorously by
scholars. For now, I would prefer to refer to just three particular fascists as
firmly recognised in history texts. They were Hitler, Franco and Mussolini. All
three were profoundly Roman Catholic much to the chagrin of Gilbert Lawrence of
course.
In the case of Franco, there is an incredibly large shrine to his memory
carved out of a huge mountain in Spain and masses are offered to his soul and
there is a permanent vigil to his memory with people constantly praying at his
shrine. I have seen it for myself and simply wonder when that fascist will be
canonised. Mussolini enjoys strong support from many Catholics in Italy and as
for Hitler, word has it that he had received the last rites and is probably in
heaven (after understandably serving time in Purgatory), for faithful Catholics
to encounter him eventually and to fully understand that even absolute sinners
can gain forgiveness in the Catholic Church. However, as there is no hard
evidence available, as yet that, Hitler received the last rites re the Catholic
Church, I'd suspend judgement on this specific issue even though many a school
student has had to grapple with the complexity of this issue in some of their
religious/ethics coursework in the UK.

My comments were merely made out of experience and
observation.
Fascist is some who tries to be authoratarian or tries
to supress others from freely expressing ther opinions
I dont think i have ever tried to supress anyone from
exercising their right to opine freely.
