Hi Bhandare,

Have you written to these authors / groups to enlighten them and engage them in
a dialogue? If they are engaged in criminal activities, there is the legal
system to take recourse and address grievances. There is absolutely no place
for physical violence and "a raw deal", and to take the law in one's own hands.
Please do not think that there are distortions only on the Hindu faith.

There are distortions also on the Catholic faith, including on this bulletin
board, including by yourself. And merely providing a web link does not make
an allegation true or a distortion a fact. The Catholics in the 21st century do
not give "a raw deal" to the perpetrators of or those who spread these
distortions.

Today, there are more civilized and effective ways to challenge distortions....
however despicable they may be. I hope you condemn the RSS cadres and their
higher echelons in India, who take the law in their hands and give a "raw deal"
for perceptions of or even factual existence of distortions about Hinduism.

Kind Regards, GL

The following are excerpts from a evangelical publication called Haqeeqat (The
Reality) written by M C Mathew, and published by Dr D M Thomas and Samuel
Thomas of Emmanuel Literature Society.

On page 100 : 'Ram?s wife Sita was taken away. She was left in forest according
to wish of Ram. Later Ram permitted Laxman to kill Sita. This Laxman was
defeated in fight by Ram, and later Ram disgusted with his life drowned himself
in Saryu. All this happened
with advice, consent and religious belief of half-naked sadhus of Hindutva'.

On p.269 it says: 'In modern world many Ramas of this belief are living
carefree. They marry several times, desert their wives, and leave them. Many
Ramas kill their Sitas. They are following their god Rama.'

There are many more extremely vulgar and derogatory comments about Arya Samaj,
hindu deities, Hindu saints like Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda, Sri Aurobindo,
Swami Dayanand Saraswati, Satya Sai Baba, Ma Amritanandamayi and so on.
While the secular press made a big deal about activities of the hindutva
activists, why was every one silent about this hate peddling?
The fact remains that if such texts are circulated in hindi in areas like
rajasthan , missionaries will continue to get a "raw deal"
