Stephen Dias Dona Paula ( Lyceum graduated prior Liberation of Goa) 18.9.2021 9422443110 Ref: Referring a report from a section of press on 16th Sept 2021 It was amusing to read some state appointed Portuguese translators with No authentic qualification but a mere certificate issued by a private body under the name of Institute de Camoes to prove their point. A certificate from Institute of Camoes is a meagre certificate and not a degree offered by a University. There are very many bogus translators shunning money from various sources private and government offering their version of translation. This bogus translation who were sanctified by the Parrikar government need to be thrown out and rightly so, the Pramod Sawant government has done it. It must be understood so that worthy documents are translated by worthy qualified men and not by fraudulent persons pretending to be experts and making money at the cost of the government and private sector individuals who require translated Portuguese documents for their own use.
