It had to be restrained but there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that it was a great event. The Goan spirit will ride high.....a new Pioneering Spirit of Goans in Canada. May it grow stronger. What struck me was that the formation of the group was not exclusive but as part of the wider community in Brampton as well as in other centres like Mississauga etc. The other thing that pleased me is your opening statement <<<<<<<One benefit from the almost two years of turmoil is that Goans here have turned to become involved in broader development projects beyond the scope of regular social activities. The acquisition of the space is an example>>>>> This is indeed great …..I could not help making a comparison with Dar es Salaam....The Former Goam Institute or now Dar Institute is largely a closed Social Group …maintaining bar, and holding the Main Festival Event …like Christmas, New Years SFX on December 3 …The rest of the time ....I shudder to think .....the library was in a shambles,......I think I will pray to St. Joseph Vaz ....
