Politics and cinema
Indians are very much fascinated by politics and cinema
The best ,jucrative careers are politics and cinema.Reams of news papers
day in. .and day out are devoted to political news sometimes of
inconsequential nature. BUT PAPERS lap it up to please and be on the side
of powers that be.Revenues can dry up and papers starved of advertisements
and uncomfortable staff dismissed
The loyal readers are saddled with news that has trash value. CINEMA stars
, kitchen stories of dress, style, looks, food tastes, love lives parties,
outings make headline news Wives and siblings are exposed to a fair share
of gossips.
Fortunately a page is reserved for sports but most space allotted to
cricket call opiate of masses
Scan thro any news papers local or national loade with political
utterances schemes and self praises on development as it is a
 a selling proposition not
ecquitable coverage for other social events around the place. The
electronic media is not far behind in circulating political paid news. IN
fact They are mouth pieces of politicians. The consequences otherwise are
unpleasant. The reporters rush and run to detail political gossip as first
preference.
They confess to be busy forcovering anyothe events
Look at the reviews of readers columns also comment more on politics than
other subjects and editors readily oblige to find space unless such posts
are not critical of ruling elite
With massive coverage of political news and of politicians readers should
stop purchasing news papers and be distributed by politicians
