Hi Bhandare This is getting interesting. The answers to your questions first.
Do you believe that a person can be a member of the Bajrang Dal or Shiv Sena, attend its programs, contribute money to its coffers and yet claim to be secular liberal and progressive? With all the respect in the world, this is a CRAP question. If you are secular, liberal and progressive; you will know better. Would his explanation that I am trying to reform the organization from within be acceptable? Its not possible for a person to reform another chap, leave alone an organization. I suggest we all work at reforming ourselves which is pretty tough in itself. And leave the others alone. Dude, no one is infallible. You are not, and neither am i. Nor is any organization infallible. If someone claims to be infallible, just agree with him/her. It will save you a lot of time and effort. Get this thing out of your head that people (by themselves or in organizations) cannot make mistakes. If you have an issue with the Catholic Church protecting paedophiles, is there anything you and I can do about it? Can we reverse 9/11? Can we reverse the Graham Staines murder? Can we reverse the Inquisition? Everyone tries to prevent the skeletons from tumbling out. I am not too sure where this is getting but dont you think its time we discuss the way out? We have debated the past, the atrocities, the persecution and the oppression and lets face it - we all have skeletons in our closet. My question to you and all - Do u think we need to do something markedly different from what has been done in the past? In the past, oppression of the other meant victory to me. The past is like a dead body that is being continually shot at, mocked, reviled, caressed, resuscitated or whatever. Alas, nothing happens. I tell you what - Lets dispose it off. And think of the future and the way out. Cheers, Jason P.S. - Lastly, to all the dudes and dudettes who so willingly defend the cause of their brethren and are willing to become e-martyrs and then re-appear on Goanet with a different identity and a different IP, dont get so worked up on Goanet postings. Relax, take a chill pill. Laugh. You are not going to change the world. No matter how smart you are, you are not getting out of this world alive. --- Bhandare <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Dear Venatius: > > Let me explain myself one more time. > > I believe: > > 1.lay catholics in general are not responsible for > the > sex abuse in the RC Church.
