US Democracy was solid. Earned through the hard work of ordinary Americans and their extraordinary leaders over generations.
And then came along a crook, a narcissist, a liar and cheat and the whole foundation is shaken to the core. It was not the man himself who caused it. Such men come and go. It is the people who believed him and are still beholden to him that continue his legacy. It is also the responsibility of weak-kneed men who followed him, who instead of wiping the slate clean, somehow seem afraid. Will America ever become a beacon of freedom to the world again, or is it like Britain doomed to play only a minor role in the future. Just my thoughts.
