Soon the country will be celebrating the opening of a new Temple at the birth
site of Lord Rama. The New Temple is grand (from pictures on the net) together
with a new state-of-the-art railway terminal and a new state-of-the-art airport
at Ayodhya.  I welcome these grand structurers.
Likely quite a few on Goanet may feel these are misplaced financial resources.
In my view, the construction of temples and churches circulates wealth and, in
the process, creates jobs for skilled workers like architects, stonecutters,
masons, carpenters, painters, artists etc. One does not need a college degree
to be highly skilled. Infact, most to the proud UNESCO heritage sites in Goa
and India are constructed structures built by generations of artisans hundreds
of years ago.
