Sexual violence against women in schools, work place, on streets, public transport in confines of homes goes unabated .There is outrage but then the story is forgotten by repeat of another.The laws,recommendations need immediate , time bound implementation .Recent pronouncements come after 36 years.Work places have ineffective standing committees on sexual harassment.The Commissions for women in every state must be proactive not tied to apron strings of politicians for appointments .Gender .sentising students, police, strict vigilance must take precedence .The overwhelming shortage of law enforces, judicial officers is a crying need to be addressed on priority. The stigma is attached to women and provocative behaviour , dress do not address the sexual crimes at home and those attired in salwar, saries are of different genere and vast cases by relatives are worrying. Only high profile cases in cities and towns get reported.Short and long term measures are discussed at adnauseium.The delay ,no fear embolden predators who should be held without bail till judgement is delivered..The juveniles for heinous crimes need no exclusion. Death sentence of Nirbhaya has not decreased sensational crimes,including defenseless toddlers, minors.Sexual convicts get frequent parolesWomen emancipation, education, employment, lifestyles ,defenselessness have made them vulnerable.
