I don't think people realise how both polite and tough Canadians can be: -- Canadians Politicians and the Public have been closely following Political Events in the USA for 8 year...actually since the war of 1812 -- Canada cooperates and work unilaterally with all US Agencies, as well as with the EU in setting quality and safety standards for Industry, Trade, and Commerce -- We share Joint Emergency Task Forces and Police Response Teams -- Canada has strengthened coalitions with NATO, the G7, Five Eyes, and EU with the prospect of trouble ahead -- Canada is in close and direct communication with the UK and France. We are descendant of both Empires -- Canada is a Nuclear Capable Country, it builds large CANDU Reactors and mines Uranium. It ships Radioactive Isotopes World Wide for Medical Imaging from Small Reactors. The country's current policy is not to develop or stock Nuclear Weapons -- Canada slapped Tariffs on the Americans on Day 1 in response to Trump's shenanigans. Mexico with a week, China two weeks -- This was done at a Federal Level, and the Provincial Government were free to do so to fellow across-border States -- Canadians had no qualms about loudly booing the US National Anthem on live television ...We have very, very, rarely disrespect a country's Anthem, not even for contentious Olympic Teams -- Canada will smoothly transition to a new Prime Minister. One who was the Governor of the Bank of Canada who then became the Governor of the Bank of England, He is well respected in the G7. Trudeau will likely move on and do some of the country's important Foreign Affairs work. He still retains his seat in Parliament as an MP
All of this without shouting or violence...
