He was a strong critic of cast system and was all praise for the influence of British , which helped Goans to migrate far and wide to secure future prospects He himself was a British pensioner , having served in East Africa His knowledge of Soccer and love for soccer was truly admirable He could relate at length history and records of soccer at his finger tips.He never reacted or responded to any fun at times.He maitained cool and calm but adhered to friends inspite of provocations. He obliged friends by attending their functions and celebrations.He was a very pleasant company.I used to often chide him that Filipe Neri's are pride and precious diamonds of Chinchinim Village He was real soldier of Society of Vincent de Paul unto death and dedicated himself to the cause of deserving very secretly and generously.His motto "let the left hand not know what the right hand does" .Many were regular beneficiaries of his generosity They received monthly food packages and students books and fee grants . He regreted for not promoting my causes at times due to his pending committments very dear to him.His sister Olga with whom he shared a endearing bond of relations has immortalised him ..Soon everyone will fade in the past but fragrance of sweet memories will linger and last to remind us of his humble indelible legacies that made a difference in lives of those he touched Olga has perpetuated his memories with an award under P.C.Trust and now interred his remains in a niche another way to record his memory. TRUST too has immortalised him in two publications giving a glimpse of simple , humble generous soul The footprints of Filipe Neri are imprinted in Sanda of times Pray that God grant him eternal rest as reward
