Guys,
Would anyone happen to know the population of expatriate goans especially in
Abu Dhabi.
While in the recent past Etihad has started flying to most popular tourism
destinations and in the recent past have added various indian cities to its
look. However the most recent destination added is Katmandu.
I have written to Etihad expressing the fact that one of the most favorite
tourist destinations today is GOA and a flight even weekly would not only
help Etihad but also a number of goans here in the UAE as the only direct
flights are Indian Airlines and Air India which are from Dubai and Sharjah.
The traffic woes to reach both Dubai and Sharjah are tremendous which
entails that we goans have to travel to Mumbai and then hop on to domestic
flight to goa which is quite an expensive proposition . Added to this is the
fact are the baggage weight issues.
Well i am trying to get a voice out to all our goans staying in Abu Dhabi to
write in Etihad Airways - The National Carrier of UAE to start a direct
flight to Goa from Abu Dhabi or even including one stopover .

I have received a prompt response from Etihad that they will consider the
request and discussions are on with higher authorities but i'm sure this
discussion could gain more ground if all us goans would write in etihad
requesting the same.
