Salute to Our Grandparents

They shower us with love, so tender and true,
On Grandparents Day, we offer them their due.
Their arms always open, their hearts ever near,
They calm our worries and wipe each tear.

They’re ready to listen, with patience so rare,
Guardian angels, with boundless care.
No harsh judgments, just warm advice,
Their loving presence—a lifelong prize.

Their tales from the past are a joyful delight,
Lullabies that soothe us into the night.
Their company, a gift we truly treasure,
Their wisdom and warmth—a timeless pleasure.

Still blessed to feel their gentle grace,
A bridge of love in the family space.
They never scold, but gently guide,
With quiet strength always by our side.

To parents, they may seem old-fashioned in play,
But for children, they brighten every day.
Adored, admired, a constant flame,
With values that put many to shame.

With stories rich from years gone by,
They teach us to dream, and to reach for the sky.
Their love unconditional, always aware,
Of our silent needs, of feelings laid bare.

So let’s celebrate with joy and cheer,
Thanking God for keeping them near.
A day to honour, respect, and applaud—
Grandparents: our life’s true reward.
