Just found his book, Bush and Boma, in a box in the garage. John Cairns, a Canadian from Guelph ON, served as a District Officer in Tanzania in the late 1950s and wrote a great book about his experiences in Tanzania (Lindi, Mtwara and Mikindani), Perhaps some of you and your families may have met him. Anyway a great book to read if you can get your hands on it!
