New Year musings The New Year dawns with fragile hope, With past and future still to cope. For some, the year went sadly wrong, For others, joys engulf all along .
Each heart desires the year bring cheer, Life at its best, sincere and clear. We bury pains of days long past, And pray that better times will last. Yet wishing fate to always smile Is but an illusion all the while. No path is free of trials we find, Nor memories that trouble the mind. Still, peace and hope we humbly pray May gently guide us on our way. We seek our joy, yet must remember— Happiness grows when shared, not hoarded ever. Offer resources, thoughts, and care, And joys will bloom like mushrooms everywhere. New clothes, new days, a festive start, To live with grace and lighter heart. In faith, we bow and humbly pray For blessings in our lives each day. Sickness and sorrow can’t be willed away, Unpleasant moments cross our way. For many, the year may begin with loss, Forced to bear a heavy, painful cross. Yet even then, the year imparts Small mercies to wounded hearts. Embrace the good with grateful cheer— Life blends both joy and tear. Learn to be glad, learn to be sad, Accept with a smile when life is bad . Pray for all, for a New Year to start Spirituality heals a wounded heart . Good and bad luck take in your stride Enjoy as the new year unfolds with all its pride Nelson Lopes Chinchinim Nelson Lopes Chinchinim https://lopesnelsonnat.wordpress.com
