Lino Dourado’s line: ‘Ti tori borexeo kannio sangta mhaka’ from today’s
“Aitaracheo Kaskutleo: Tannim, Goyant Kiteak Yenvchem?” brought to my mind
the following joke in Salcete Konkani in which comedian Agustinho narrates
to his daughter how God created the world and finally a partner for the man:
a woman. Furthermore, he tells her that from that day onwards neither God
nor man has been able to relax/sleep – man works throughout the day; even at
night!
Here is the joke “Disa-a hem kam’ tem kam’ – ratii dekun kam’”, which is
taken from Felsy’s audio cassette “Mog”:
