 Rajan P. Parrikar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> responded
1: I don't see Manohar Parrikar/BJP as the "only method."
2: If there is a third viable honest alternative, I would consider it.
3: Goa Su-Raj is around but how viable are they?
4: The recent failed alliance of Manohar P with Babush is indefensible
and inexcusable.
5: That said, I don't have for Manohar Parrikar or the BJP either the
contempt or the hatred held by many on this forum.

jc's response to Rajan Parrikar

I have no hatred or contempt for Manohar Parrikar. He is an
intelligent man and a Goan. It is his statements and his prior actions
which have raised my eyebrows (at least).

I entirely agree with Miguel Braganza's assessment of his previous
stint in office. I personally found the infamous videoCD to be a
crass attempt to further polarise Hindu and Catholic Goans - and yet,
we are one people!.

What was more distasteful for an educated person was his 'duck' when
asked about it. He went further and lay the blame on a "Katlick' .
What kind of politricks is that?

I expect that of uneducated crooked folks - not of highly educated
people. It is much easier to say - "I made an error" - I have learned
from it - won't do it again - and move on.

Based upon my own cumulative assessment of the BJP(centre) actions and
inactions during their stint, I understand the relief that many felt
when (even the corrupt) Congress replaced them

BTW Rajan, ...one other point: I took a fine look at HOW Parrikar
stepped up to the Kodel - the first time around.

It is my belief that any individual who uses a 'coup' to move ahead -
does not deserve the political or personal trust of educated people.

good wishes as always
