Platinum jubilee celebrations

MANGALORE: Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Catholic Board of Education (CBE)
was inaugurated by Mangalore Bishop Aloysius Paul DSouza at Bishops house in
Mangalore on Thursday. Simultaneously, the Platinum Jubilee Year of CBE was
inaugurated in 160 primary schools, 40 high schools, 16 pre-university
colleges, five first grade colleges and ITI, affiliated to CBE and spread
through out the district.
Mangalore Bishop also inaugurated Konkani Bible website, konkanibible. org on
the occasion. Bishop A P Dsouza who is also CBE president acknowledged the
yeomen service of many in educational field. By its service, it had created
thousands and thousands of students, he said.
CBE Vice president and Vicar General of Mangalore Diocese Msgr Denis Prabhu in
his introductory address traced the history of CBE, which was established in
1932.
