International Cuisine Conference on Traditional Asian Diet Panaji, Goa, September 2-5, 2007 - http://www.indologygoa.in Online Media Partner: http://www.goanet.org ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Well, someone has woken up to file a patent application for our beloved feni. Not sure the patent for use in India or the world over. This post is intended to help. Since internet domains/internet names was the jam on my bread till the recent past (as in bread and butter), I did some research (the weather in the UK is drab) on what internet domains the fine folk who make feni could use (if they get round to putting up a site). feni.com <-----taken by an US organisation that is in the tower busienss. No luck there. feni.org <---ideally, someone should have registered this. This is taken by a food related industry association/group. No luck getting it off them either. Feni.info<--registered by someone but not being used; they should attempt to buy this if the person intends to sell. Ideally, this is the internet name the group should persue (even before the patent application). goafeni.com<---------interestingly taken by someone in the US intending to take feni to the "W"=West (yo Selma, Helga have a lil business on the quiet there eh?). The site provides some information on feni. Feni.In<--registered to someone in Mupca. GoaFeni.In--->available. Goafeni.Org<---if someone is in touch with the group/association making the patent claim/application, do let them know, this is available and they should register it right away. The dot-org is intended for not-for-profit organisations/associations/groups. Isn't feni available in Ontario's LCBO at some point? I have seen Kingfisher beer and Indian Whiskey a few years ago (the ParkDale location, off Queen West past Dufferin). Ay, no personal replies please...unless you have a bottle recent sock.. -- "Explanation Destroys Art."
