Hi Alfred,
Good to hear from you on Goanet. What a privilege it
must have been to know Fr De Mello in person.
I'm told in private that Fr Tony died peacefully in
his sleep at Fordham University NY. Apparently there
are groups that meet regularly to discuss his work. I
wonder if this simple man ever knew the amount of
people he influenced with his short stories.
Marshall, that's the name of the book, "Song of the
birds", which I couldn't remember for some reason.
That one followed "Prayer of the Frog", which I loved.
I found him on Wikipedia, but does anyone know if we
can claim him as one of our own, a Goan that is. It
doesn't say so on Wikipedia.
