The Bournvita Quiz Contest of the 1970s All India Radio fame, raised
may questions then and provked all of us students of that bygone era
to think.It had a RIPPLE EFFECT and spawned local QUIZ CONTESTS.
Bosco D' Melo, co-Moderator of GoaNet had asked one question that

RESPONSE:
The CBQC started on 12 April 1972, as the only English show on the
Hindi Vividh Bharati. It was conducted by Hamid Sayani. In 1975, Ameen
Sayani started anchoring CBQC after his brother Hamid?s demise. I have
followed it post 1978... It was in 1994, that CBQC made an appearence
on Television with Derek O' Brien as the host.

ANSWER: Because it is MY Birthday, I had just turned a TEENAGER at
sweet thirteen on 12 April, 1972, and Cadbury marked the day in red
because .... a] I was a voracious consumer of both CADBURY'S BOURNVITA
b]Cadbury's Chocolates that became so popular ... and synonymous
with Choclates... in Goa, that old timers still ask for Amul
CADBURY, Kit Kat CADBURY or Foren CADBURY or c] they did not know it
was my 13th birthday [also of MOG Lucy Costa, Manisha Crasto who
married my cousin BOB Ze Lucas Braganza or Colonel [Retd] Shashtri
from Ponda] but decided to go ahead and mark the day ;-))
Any or all of the above may be correct. Find out before the
"International Quiz Quest" to be conducted by the Britto's OBA in the
near future.
"Ar're mhaka ek Tobler CADBURY hadd'tai re?" is not an unfamiliar
sentence. It sounds soooo familiar to me.
