Cheers Jerry Fernandes Miguel wrote Dears, Have a "dekho" at your Goa on the "Lonely Planet" website and printed copy. Mirror, mirror on the wall Who is the Goemkar amongst these all? Mog asundi. Miguel From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Lonely Planet | Talk2Us Hi Jerry, Thanks for taking the time to email us. Sorry to hear of your disappointment with the front cover of the current edition of Goa, when you say that this man is not of Goan origin, what state do you think he is from? I have sent a copy of your email to the commissioning editor so she is aware of your concerns over the front cover and can consider for the next edition, she will also investigate further your comments about the language errors. I am glad though that the current Goa guide did allow you to see Goa in a new light. Thanks again for emailing us and I look forward to your reply. Kind Regards, Nicole Nicole Hansen Talk2Us Lonely Planet Publications More travel advice and information at http://www.lonelyplanet.com From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: 03 September 2007 I would like to bring to your attention, that the front cover mentioned on the new edition of Lonely planet ISBN no 1740599764 on the place GOA, has a picture on it, which shows a man, who is not of Goan origin. Even the previous edition you made the same mistake. These people are non Goans who come here to make money due to the flow of tourists. Goa is a wonderful place and it was so many beautiful landscapes. Most tourist come to Goa to relax on its beaches, or visit some nice monuments, like the churches, temples, etc, yet you have given a picture of a man which portrays Goa in bad taste. Even the phrase column, there are some errors like, The word hello does not mean paypadta, as the common used word is also Hello. And also the word Very well thank you, does not mean bhore jaung, its borem assaum or boro assaum,(gender based) also bhore jaung, should be borem zaum and it means. May everything be fine with you. Other than that, you have had a wonderful description of Goa, for which I do thank you for making me know Goa in new light. I hope you will not make this mistake in your next edition. Thanking you Jerry Fernandes
