Goanet mourns the passing of Jorge de Abreu Noronha in Portugal - Nov 27/07 http://tinyurl.com/2dk2bl http://tinyurl.com/29kpdx --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm very sorry to hear of Jorge's departure. His posts were very distinguished and detailed and clearly indicated that he was a person of great depth and knowledge. He will definately be missed. As a tribute it would be nice if his posts could be compiled and archived. Regards, Marlon Valmiki Faleiro <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Those you who read Jorge de Abreu Noronha here, will have to miss him hereafter. That quintessential Goan, forever on a quest of knowledge, esp. of matters Goan, passed away in Portugal this morning. Jorge was 77 and leaves behind his wife, Livia ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) and family. Jorge was last on the board of editors translating Goan litterateur, Dr. Manoharrai Sardessai's poems. He was, if I err not, in charge of translating that other great man's poems in the French language. The absolutely saintly Jorge will no doubt rest in peace. Let's pray heaven will grant Livia the fortitude to bear this terrible loss. Valmiki
