Today Chief Minister took a press conference expressing that government has decided to scrap the SEZs in Goa and that government will ask the Centre to De-notify the 3 SEZs already notified.
The biggest question is that why should CM ask Centre to de-notify? Why cannot Goa government de-notify saying we don't need any projects which are detrimental to the state of Goa? Any way, finally Mathany, Manohar and Shripad achieved success in their long struggle. Happy New Year 2008 to all Goans for scrapping the SEZs. Best regards, Dr. U. G. Barad
