Dear Goanetters Goa Konkani Academy held the" Rajbhas dis " on the 7th of February 08 at the Black Box kala Academy Panjim. The programme started at 4.30 pm, with an interview with Shri Anna Mahambre and Sheela kolambkar .Both are noted konkani writers and their stories have been found in some of the text books of konkani in schools and may be in higher secondary too. The discusion was delibrated by Shri Mahesh Thali. It went on for nearly fifty minutes. Very interesting interview. This was followed by releasing four books of four different authors and published by Goa konkani Academy.1." kombo gelo tarwar" by Anna Mahambre, 2. "Khatasheel by Sheela Kolambhar 3. Aorag dhsampdra by r. Anand Helekar and the fourth one was 18th June by Late Dr. Manohar Sardessai The four books were released by Bishop Allywn Baretto the bishop of Sinhurga. The next part was the prize distribution of script writing competition . The first prize went to Victorin Pereira from, Uttorda. The second prize went to Albert de Souza from Saligao and Mapuca and the third prize was awarded to Agnelo de Borim . The last part of the programme was giving away of scholarship to various college students. Albert de Souza
