To a message by Yogesh Desai, namely: "Has any one read this book "Guardian of
the Dawn"- by Richard Zimler in which he mentions 'Goa Inquisition was most
merciless and cruel' ",

Fredrick Noronha writes: "True. This has been said many times in the past too.
What's interesting is the use of history to settle current-day scores."

There will be some who will use history to settle scores today. It is done all
over the world. In this case, there are some who deny that the Inquisition was
cruel. There are some some who contend that the Inquisition was not used
against the Hindus. It is this denial of history that is a moot point.
