Philip-bab says : What is the state of lawlessness people are talking about? Are people that gullible? Or are they just looking for straws to grab hold of and justify their antics as a mob? Where exactly is the hanky panky going on? And why is law enforcement lacking? Let's have facts on an all-Goa basis instead of creating a bogeyman about lawlessness and going on the rampage at the drop of a hat. I say : 1 ) Agree entirely. 2 ) At the end of our last discussion ,when I said that you should start a new thread and commence looking at Goa's ills from a broader perspective , I was being sincere . From the tone of your response I felt you took it as an offensive or sarcastic remark ( perhaps because of the reputation I have established on this forum ).It was NOT meant to be either. I would like to contribute to any such discussion . Problem is, Goanet ( from what I have seen so far ) does not provide a suitable environment for a rheotoric free and vitriol free exchange of views. 3 ) When you said I was suffering from the RFA syndrome, you were partly correct . I am far from entirely comfortable with holding fort for Manohar Parrikar ( and even less for the BJP ). I am taking this stance on Goanet because : a) I sincerely believe that only a stable and responsible ( on all counts ) government can provide a long term solution for Goa's ills. b) The Congress in it's current state cannot provide this option... and the rate at which the Congress is loosing all morality it will become an even less palatable option over the next few years. c) There is no 3rd option at present ( either political or in terms of some person/organisation who is prepared to take on the system on a wholesale basis like Dr Rajan did ...with all respect to him ...on a retail basis, referring to the PIL ) d) My support to Manohar Parrikar is strictly conditional.Until there is a 3rd option or Manohar Parrikar/ BJP do anything which violates certain thresholds I have set , I will continue investing the limited time and energy I have for such activities to endorse a Manohar Parrikar led goverment with a stronger Catholic presence than BJP can offer right now. 4 ) Once again , my approach is not the ideal one , your's is. Please do not take that in anything but a sincere tone. I will always be on the lookout for a 3rd option , and an analysis of facts on an all Goa basis as you say above is a possible starting point towards floating that option. luv and regards, anand ( Dr Anand Virgincar ) _________________________________________________________________ Who's friends with who and co-starred in what? http://www.searchgamesbox.com/celebrityseparation.shtml
