Whether it is ethical or not to post a response to a thread appearing in one forum into another forum is a topic for debate and discussion which we shall leave for some other day.
I shall however make a few points to clear the air 1. I received a Private email from Dr Anand Virgincar expressing his displeasure to a response that I had posted on another forum. This response, I must add, is identical to the one that has now appeared here on goanet under the heading: Article: a response to Dr. Virgincar. 2. Since Dr Anand took offence to my response appearing on another forum and as I also felt that I should not have dragged his name there, I immediately replied to him and tendered my apology. 3. I however categorically informed him then and there that my response on the other forum was posted only after the same had been sent to goanet and that I would check out with the goanet moderators why the same had not appeared yet. I am therefore surprised to see him trying to mislead everyone by suggesting that I posted my response here only after receiving his strongly- worded email. 4. I later discovered that my initial post was rejected by the moderator on the grounds that the heading was personalized and inappropriate. I posted my response once again, this time by deleting the words a response to Dr Virgincar as instructed by the moderator. Strangely though, the original heading has appeared on goanet, but let's not get into that. 5. Given the above facts, Dr Anands insinuations, that I posted this response on goanet only after I received his strongly worded letter, are therefore false, baseless, mischievous and misleading. Dr Anand, while accusing me of resorting to unethical behavior, is himself behaving in an unethical manner by making such false and malicious statements, perhaps to divert everyones attention from the valid points I have raised in my previous post. 6. Manohar Parrikars intentions are glaring and obvious by all accounts. He could have played his cards much better but he has jumbled them up pretty badly. That even the strike called by the CCP workers, which put the residents of Panjim to severe hardships, had his tacit support becomes quite evident when we take note of the fact that the Trade Union Leader of the striking workers happens to be Keshav Prabhu, a senior BJP functionary. 7. Only those who are blinded with intense admiration for amcho bhai would look into one or 2 statements of his and try to draw their conclusions. An honest and objective analysis of the role played by Parrikar and his political party during the entire episode is required if we do indeed need to judge him, which I have tried to do so. 8. Dr Anand goes on to add: Apparently, the author believes Ravi Naik when the latter said that Manohar Parrikar initiated the stoning of the police station as well as the violence against Babush and fly. While they may not have stoned the Police station, they have certainly stoned the Governors car, havent they? :- And trust Josebab to drag Salazar and the Portuguese into almost any and every conversation :- Cheers Sandeep Heble Panjim ____________________________________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing.
