Response

Bravo, Mr Sabnis.

You must be feeling better after getting rid of all that bile. As
an experienced doctor, may I suggest that you calm down? This
sort of anger is not good for your heart. Repair to a quiet room
with a glass of buttermilk (it is very good to cool your stomach)
and read the posts from Marshall and Miguel. You will see the
snide remark "naked emperor" which was a barbed reference
to Parrikar, Manohar and not Rajan.

About your challenge, please go back to archives. When I made
the mistake about the convenor of SVM, I immediately apologized
on Goanet and did not go silent as you suggest. However, when
I named Bhatiker who professed his support to Digu openly from
the SVM platform - it is you who went silent. Why can you not
just accept it?

You may hurl as much personal abuse against me as you wish.
In the past, you have indirectly suggested that I should do my
little bit for Goa like other people. I do not believe in promoting
myself or in bragging about my own doings but if you would like
to know what I have done for my motherland, please visit Mangeshi,
Keri and that area, and talk to the people there.

About Keri - as I said in my last post on this forum, I was born
and brought up there. I know scores of people there on a first
name basis and they treat me like family. The first time I heard
about these divisions was when I received a call from one of my
friends early in December. He was speaking from the Bhootkhamb
plateau while Matanhy, Amol Navelkar and others were visitng.
Hardly any one from Keri was prepared to even go along with
them. Later, when some of the youth came to see me, it became
apparent within minutes that they identified me with GMAS and
some boys whom I have known since their childhood were
clearly avoiding me at the local Jatra. During the anti-Nylon
struggle, everyone from that locality was together. I attended
the SVM rally in Margao as well as the GMAS rally in Panaji. The
Keri people who attended the SVM rally were steadfastly opposed
to attending the GMAS rally. Now, if you have a better explanation
for this behaviour, let us hear it.

Dr Anil Desai
