The body of British teenager Scarlet Eden Keeling 15 who was found dead on the
Anjuna beach on 18th February, 2008 was finally taken out of the morgue at the
Goa Medical College Hospital Bambolim this morning.

An official of the Goa Medical College Hospital Bambolim confirmed this to this
writer vide a teletalk this evening.

It is also confirmed that later the body was airlifted to Mumbai and will
remain there until joined by her mother Fiona Mac Keown 43 to be then taken to
her abode in Devon Bideford UK via Virgin airlines, after completing all legal
formalities in Mumbai. Until then it will in the care of undertaker in Mumbai.

Meanwhile in an interesting development there are unconfirmed reports that
after the gruesome incident which was earlier reported as death by drowning on
18th February, 2008, there were arrangements already being made to have her
body taken to Mumbai by train via Konkan Railway. The documentation involving
inquest, panchanama, and permission from the North Goa Collectorate was also
obtained but a last minute tip off that something was "amiss" averted this
move. It is also learnt that these arrangements were made through an undertaker
from Mumbai through his contact man in South Goa. However it is not clear
whether it was Scarlets or another Britishers body which was involved in the
transportation.

Following the investigations into the cause of death that got underway due to
the grit and determination of Ms Fiona Mac Keown 43 singlehandedly she
succeeded despite a barrage of criticism in achieving her last l act viz
suspension of the Head of Forensic Dr Sapeco all within a span of just one
month.

Interestingly the National Council for Women, New Delhi are now in Goa to lend
support to Ms Mac Keown --- many argue that bolting the stable after the horses
have fled is how such Government run women organisations function in the
country. But better late than never and it will be interesting if the case is
finally handed over to the CBI and the politico-police-druglords network is
broken with interesting disclosures coming out in the coming days.
