The Advocate General of Gujarat is paid Rs 700/- per day per case for only a effective hearing while the Advocate General of Maharashtra is paid Rs 5000/- per case to a maximum total of Rs 7000/- per day irrespective of the number of cases he appears on that day. In Karnataka the Advocate General is paid Rs 1000/- for the first case and Rs 250/- per case for the remaining appearances while the total fees cannot exceed Rs 10,000/- per day.
