Re: Aitaracheo Katkutleo: Don Tonddanche Monis_People with two faces

Venantius, excellent translation, and quickly done.

Kudos to Lino Dourado.

Yes, indeed, we have such two-faced characters in our midst (some very active on the Net). A recent example of this is the issue of the NRI Goans Leadership Awards from the Gulf countries (including 1 from Delhi. Why was she accomodated in this 'set-up' - yet another mystery and let's keep it for another day)! Chodd firngi bhas, haddank urta mas (Too many foreign language speeches leave the bones with meat). We have the same guys who shed crocodile tears for not 'honouring' the NRI Goans from the Gulf and when recently done (although the transperency/ criteria is not yet very crystal clear, and the RTI Act is the 'only' way to get to the subject - in a democracy), the same herd is crying 'wolf' for not being clothed as the 'sacrificial' sheep for the self glorifying bounty of events upheld as 'service' done for the greater glory to Goans!

The Konkani proverb: Faz favor, kortten dhunvor (Too many speeches, but no action worthy of its mention).

Lino, we look forward with abated breath to get hold of your collection of 'Aitaracheo Katkuleo' soon. And still, as always, awaiting for the next episode, another Sunday of humour in Konkani !
