Navhind Times, Monday, April 28, 2008 acrried that Konkani scholar Suresh Gundu Amonkar is to release his Konkani translation of Guru Nanak's Jap Ji. Nandkumar kamat is saying that this Konkani translation is an important event in the history of Konkani language and literature.
This same Suresh Gundu Amonkar has written Dnyaneshwari from Marathi into Konkani. It is having so many complicated unknown words that even Dnyaneshwar must be crying in his samadhi. Now it is turn of Guru Nanak to cry. So called Konkiani scholars are creating a different Konkani from the one spoken by the Goans, especially the Bahujan Samaj.
