Comedian Agostinho's tiatr "Police" to be staged in Bahrain
The Folk Theatre in association with Bahrain Goans and FFR Production will
present a Konkani drama on 20th June at the Baan Saeng Thai Auditorium,
Adeliya, Bahrain, starting at 5 p.m.
A group of 14 konkani stage artistes, who will be on a Gulf tour will
perform under the direction of Goas topmost Comedian Agostinho Temodu in his
drama titled Police. Comedian Agostinho, has to his credit a number of
konkani dramas and video films.He has also acted in several dramas and video
films of other directors. The present show Police has been running to packed
houses all over Goa and the troupe will arrive in Bahrain after performing in
Dubai on 12th June 2008 and in Kuwait on 13th June 2008.
Comedian Agostinho has always projected interesting and contemporary plots in
his plays. His title this time is surely a winning one and good enough to
arouse curiosity. With Selvy, the comedian partner of Agostinho in the troupe,
the audience is going to see the humour at its best in this drama. The other
popular names in the troupe are Samuel, Osvi, Salu, Mathew, Joaquim, Benny,
Roma and Jessica. The Goa Kala Academy award winners Norman Cardoso and Agnelo
Dias are accompanying the troupe to render music for the show.
