The dust in Margao was about to settle and Margao Police on Thursday afternoon seized 17 factory manufactured swords and 16 dagger from a TATA make 1613 truck parked near famous Monti Dongar entry point. 4 out of 17 swords are of 23 inches and balance 13 is of 31 inches.
The truck bears a number GA 01 W 5785 belonging to Daflim Abdul Mazid. Mazid claims to have sold the truck few months back to scrap yard dealer Abdul Karim operating of Housing Board at Gogal . But the details painted on the truck still read as: Owner Abdul Mazid, contact number 9822179185, 9822159061, 9892362161 but no one takes the call on these numbers. Some local resident claim that this truck belongs to a brother of suspected goon. Actual owner is still to be located. With this background Margao dwellers pose following questions: 1. How is the actual owner? If truck is claimed to be sold to whom it is sold? Which RTO completed this transfer transaction and with what details? 2. Other than swords and daggers what other materials were located in the bus? 3. People claim that number of swords and other ammunitions are much higher in number but under some instructions from unknown the discovery is being down played! Who is this unknown? 4. Is not this incident point figure to SIMI's activity? 5. This is the affect of politician pampering certain community. Finally every Margao dweller are now says Is not this picture perfect indicator?
