Celebrating India's 61st Anniversary of Independence
The Goan Overseas Association Invites all its members, family and friends to
join
in celebrating the 61st Anniversary of India’s Independence on Sunday August
10/08
The Goan Overseas Association is pleased to join Panorama India, who with the
support
of the Consulate General of India is celebrating the 61st Anniversary of
India's Independence
Day at Yonge-Dundas Square, Sunday August 10th, at Yonge-Dundas Square
(Opposite the Eaton center, Downtown). Panorama India was established in 1999,
as a non-profit organization, which provides a platform for all Indian cultural
associations to showcase their art and culture, in addition to other objectives.
The celebrations are going to start with a Grand Parade including various
community,
business and religious organizations in Toronto, showcasing India's unity in
diversity.
Panorama India is planning to start the Parade with a flag hoisting at 10.30
a.m. representing
different states.
This is an invitation to all G.O.A. members to come and participate with family
and friends and enjoy the festivities of the day of music dance, food and fun.
If you are attending please come to the Panorama India” stand by 10:00 a.m. on
Sunday August 10th to participate in the flag hoisting parade.
Date: Sunday, August 10th, 2008
Time: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM – (day long free event)
Where: Yonge Dundas Square, Toronto

The Goan Overseas Associations of Toronto together with all Goan Village
Associations of Canada
and our sister associations from Around the World are having a Picnic to
celebrate World Goa Day
on Saturday, August 16th, 2008. Traditionally this is celebrated at Viva Goa.
This year marks the 9th Anniversary of World Goa Day.
