Augusto, I am sorely disappointed.
For three reasons: 1) Your lack of comprehension. Please read my post. I did not say you, Miguel or anyone else was gay, wimpish or a transvestite. All I did was called the term 'dears' that. If there is any implication as you so erroneously inferred, it was not that you or Miguel (or Jose Colaco) were GWTs, but rather that by using the word you are treating us, your audience, as if we were. 2) Your propensity to violence. Teachers are supposed to resort to the pen and not to muscle-power. Wonder if any of your students have picked up your bad habits. Of course there is the possibility you may have been thinking on the lines that those violent habits may be useful to them during difficult times. 3) You scolded me for intolerance specifically toward gays, but not towards wimps and transvestites. Is your soft corner only towards the former and not the latter? I am also very disappointed that one, a school teacher, and two, a Horticulturist and social activist have such poor understanding skills. First Miguel where he said that I supported slapping of a GMC doctor when I had written the exact opposite. And now you with the word 'dears'. Background: Me: (to Miguel) - "Please stop calling us "dears", a kind of gay, wimpish, transvestite-sounding word". Augusto: "And BTW Roland, I happen to be married, and if you think I'm wimpish just make sure you never come close to my fists." Me (to Samir Kelekar) : "From the facts you revealed so far, the police have been right to arrest the daughter (for slapping the doctor)." Miguel: "Even if her mother died due to medical negligence, the Resident Doctor is not the one to whom the blame can be apportioned. I wonder if Roland is the type who would go slap the flight purser if the flight is delayed due to a technical snag?" Frightened of fists, Roland.
