Foreigner? No (non-Goan living in Goa for 25 years))
Where? Raia
When? about 4 months ago
Raped by Minister’s son? No (but her own maternal uncle)
Rapist age: 20
Any proof (rape)? The victim is 4 months pregnant, confirmed by GMC
How it come to light? On seeing the growing belly of her daughter, mother took
her to Hospicio..
Rapist Modus operandi? As the victim was playing with another girl outside the
house, the accused gave some money to the other girl to bring some sweets,
seeing the victim alone, he then took her in and forcibly raped her.
Police case filed? Yes, under sec.376 of IPC and under Goa Children’s Act
The accused arrested? No. Absconding
How come there is no much noise this time? No foreigner, no minister involved
so there is no much hue and cry about the case.
